This past weekend I was able to go turkey hunting on Saturday morning.  We didn’t get any good footage, no shot, but we did see 2 turkeys

I leave town for a weekend and these boys get a turkey on TV on Saturday, get one early Sunday, then they leave and go to another field and get a hen 15 yards away from them!  Looks like I need to leave town more ofteN

Today some of the WeHuntSC.com crew slipped back out to try our luck at turkey hunting again.  This time we didn’t use the deer antler and we had a gobbler strutting.  I think we’re getting closer…

We learned a valuable lesson about turkey hunting this morning: the slate call doesn’t work well without the wooden striker that rubs against it.  Read about the other end of the turkey hunting spectrum here
