Hog diseases

By Sean Jeffries on 8/27/2011 4:34 PM

Today's entry is another chapter from Daily Bread for Deer Hunters: Still Hunting for the Heart of God.  This chapter reflects on some of the ways that we try to test God's faithfulness to us.  Ultimately, we must realize that He is always faithful to us; it's us who need to remain faithful to Him.

I am currently hard at work on two new books.  This blog entry is a chapter from one of them; my upcoming devotional "Daily Bread for Deer Hunters - Still Hunting for the Heart of God."  This book will differ from last year's Deer Hunter's Devotional in that there will be sixty-six chapters; one for each book of the Bible.  Using a verse from each book as a guide, my writings "follow the Wild Goose" (as the ancient Celtics referred to the Holy Spirit) as He leads me into a discussion of the outdoors.  This sample chapter is the one from the Old Testament book of Joshua.

This is a chapter from my book Deer Hunter's Devotional: Hunting for the Heart of God.  I'll be posting more chapters from the book as time goes on, but with August fast approaching, I thought I'd throw this one out there.

This is an anonymous, guest blog submitted and written by a SC hunter who pulled the trigger and later realized he’d made a mistake…the tale of a hunter who did what was right, even when it got him in a little trouble, after the jump

Somehow I end up with half of my life taking place behind a computer in the city and the other half out in the woods far removed from any tall buildings … the blog my grad school teacher made me write.
